Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

This page aims to answer the most frequently asked questions of prospective students.

Students with a first degree in computer science or in other scientific areas related with the scope of the Msc are eligible to apply.
To be selected however, eligible students must have a prior knowledge of computer science basics (e.g. computer programming, computer networking, etc). Students that do not have a first degree in Computer Science, may cover this criterion based on skills acquired by other means, such as relevant prior working experience, relevant selective courses taught during their first degree etc.

The full-time duration is 1.5 years (3 semesters) and correspond to 90 ECTS.

Part-time studies are possible, from 4 up to 6 semesters. The maximum allowed duration for students is 3 years.

All lectures are taught between 18:00-21:00. The exact days for each student depend on the selected track and on the selective courses chosen by the student.

All courses are taught at the Themistoclean Masters’ Programmes campus of the University of Piraeus, at the Nikaia. Students have full access to the parking area  of the campus. Various transport connections to/from the campus are available.

In principle, remote learning is possible for up to 30% of the teaching hours per course. This is decided by the course coordinators on a case-by-case basis, depending on the learning needs of each course.

The study fees are 4500€. Usually the fees are split in three payment installments. Students with the highest performance in their track are entitled for a partial scholarship.
